This was a Battle I observed as an WGL official. I belive it was the 4th week of the WGL and the battle was between the forces of ^DAG^ and orky.Map: Char Magma
Orky
[orky]Ashmodey -Red Toss at 3 o'clock
[orky]Dilvish -Yellow Toss at 5 o'clock
DAG
Caglomera^DAG^ -Orange Zerg at 8 o'clock
Splash^DAG^ -Brown- Toss at 1 o'clock
It was a cold and stormy night on brunt surface of the planet Char Magma. It was Ragnasuar mating season, but those little bastards that you love to shoot on POS were around. Cuase I guess this is Char not POS :D ok moving along. Caglomera expanded to his natural early on and then placed down a unorthodox 3rd hatch, but was the first to be found.
The first mitlitary movement in the game came from orky whom opted for an unorthodox(starting to like that word ;) move, not a single but DOUBLE toss cheese rush. This can be detected from the camera of the Lipton-WGL-Observerbot1.02.
Caglomera spots this with a lone zergling and prepares by putting down a couple of sunkens and making more lings. The attack is quickly thwarted. I guess there won't be any whine with that cheese ;)
The Probes then start to high tail it outta there back to mining were they belong.
The ^DAG^ team then started to counter attack with lings and Splash's Zealots which met orky's reinforcements in the middle of Char.
But as Dilvish from the orky team arrives to the scene things take a drastic turn.
Dilvish and Ashmodey turn their warith towards Splash^DAG^ and charge up to Splash's base with tons of zealots. This won't be the last time they attack Splash.
Splash manages to beat the attack off and several other attacks on his home base. While all this is going on Caglomera has been amassing mutas and attacks Ashmodey's north right base with a vengence.
But once again team orky's couter attack is much more meaner as they take out Caglomera's top middle zerg base and pound Splash's natural expansion with a deadly vengence a tons of snowballs and 1 big marshmallow.
Oh but the death and destruction does not end there. Dilivish's answer to Caglomera's mutas was mass sairs, and man o man did they go to work on Caglomeras main base. And with little protection from very few hydras the zerg player is left with very few ovies.
And as the end and the forces of orky draws near, a good exchange of gg's takes place. And then after all leave feeling fuzzy :) As for those Probe brothers Charles and Fred, Charles got a fulltime job making photon cannons at New Antioch and Fred got a job at the nearest Gynecologist. Fred always got the better end of the deal =)
