Anyways, I hope this report is better than the others... Im taking some HTML classes in school. After 3 weeks of praying to the HTML gods to fix my report Iron-Lung and SkirtsAndPanties did help. Gods? No. Better than me? Almost =P. Hope you liked it and enjoy the time that I put into it. If there are errors, its probly because I copy/pasted it over but tell me about them anyways. If anyone could tell me how to make text flash and scroll it would be a huge help, and im done rambling on ;)

Hold on. My m&m's charge in and are slaughtered by hydras/sunkens while MUTAS are on their way to my base. This zerg double techs and I still can't produce enough to fight him off in all the time it took for him to do that. Man, I seem to be getting worse at this game.

Fun fun fun.
I liked it.
After I beat down the zerg I went back to look at what all your endings and stuff were.
It is pretty hard doing one of these and you did a very kick ass job.
I would suggest maybe having a longer choice of forks before you, um, die to the wrong choice. Keeps your reader a little more involved as he has to try and decide at "which" point he chose wrong.
Very cool nonetheless. =) I like.

OWNAGE. Pure ownage. I loved it! These things are hard to do, and you did it well. A few minor complaints though... The spelling was kinda bad at some points, espescially in grammar =/. And next time(PLZ MAKE ANOTHER ONE!) you should make more choices. I mean, M&M being the only way to win? I don't think so. Make more branches to tech to, attack with, etc.! All in all,this was a great...umm...thing. I'd give this an 8 easily,possibly a 9. Keep up the good work!

| Cool, I like these sorts of things. I think it would be really neat if someday someone made an interactive battle report based on *real* games. Start with a 1on1, play a bit and then save it, send each saved copy to 2 friends and tell each to adopt a different strategy. Keep going, then put those together. Of course, this would end up with a huge number of branches, but it might be an interesting project :-). The fictional ones are neat but sometimes they seem a little arbitrary or unrealistic. |

Ditto to Warfare and Rim. How the heck does this guy have an expansion, 4 sunkens, 5 hydras, and 12 mutas, while all I have is a bunker, 12 marines, and 4 medics? Losing in one of these IBRs should be in some way tied to the aptness of the strat you've chosen, not some arbitrary decision that the Zerg somehow managed to outproduce me by a ratio of 4:1.
And what's with this "running past the sunks" bit? I can't think of any way to get infantry slaughtered faster than by trying to "run past" grouped sunks and hydras. And why does the Zerg have a lurker instead of 12 mutas, just because I ran past the sunks instead of killing them? He'd better not have a lurker AND 12 mutas.
These things aren't fun unless there's a realistic connection between the choices the reader gets to make and the outcome in the story. With this one you could have just written, "You're not very good, AND you're playing Grrr. He outproduces you 4-1 and kicks your butt in short order. The end." |

The only thing I would object to would be the lack of any screenshots ( they can still be made in these you know ), and the fact that only two choices were available every time. Also, somehow this didn't link properly for me =)

Suggestion: Next time... make your choices more broad.
Like in the beginning when you said build a wall-in or tech to vultures... how about just saying Build dual rax or Tech to Fac... then from there, you can have choices Build Vultures, Build Tanks, Build Goliaths or Tech to Starport.
That way.... it's not so linear... (Even though it's more work than having specific strats as choices) |
